DIY Homemade Facial Masks
While using face masks is not a necessary step in your skincare routine, it can do a major effect and step up your skincare game if applied wisely and correctly.
Here are three easy-to-make homemade face masks that have proven their effectiveness.
#1 Deep Cleansing Sidr Mask
Recipe:
2 tbsp Sidr powder + 2 tbsp tap water
Mix the two ingredients until a yogurt-like paste is achieved. Apply it on your face avoiding your eyes. Leave until dry, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
Sidr powder is known for its deep cleansing properties that get deep into the pores to remove extra sebum, AKA natural oils, and dead cells.

#2 Enzymatic Papaya Mask
Recipe:
2 tbsp blended papaya+ 1 tbsp honey
Mix the ingredients, apply the mixture on your face, and leave it on for 5-10 minutes.
Papaya is an excellent source of vitamins A and C, potassium, and powerful antioxidants. It's also packed with enzymes that help exfoliate your skin gently without damaging its skin barrier.
#3 Depuffing Green Tea Mask
Recipe:

Soak up a green tea bag in water and squeeze the excess water. Leave it to chill in a refrigerator. Apply the cold tea bags onto your eyes for a few minutes. Rinse your eyes with water afterward.
Green tea contains caffeine which helps de-puffing eyes instantly by narrowing blood vessels. It also brightens dark under eyes in the long run.
Make Sure to:
Do a patch test before using the mask all over your face. If you experience any discomfort and irritation, refrain from using the mask.
Rinse off the mask properly afterward>
Use the mask instantly and throw away any leftovers. Since it's a homemade mask that has no preservatives, it's more likely to have bacterial growth if kept for a few days.
