It works best in a slightly alkaline pH, that's why you should couple it with neutral/alkaline components. If you were to couple it with an acidic component, it can turn into niacin which can irritate facial skin.

Don't pop those pimples.

Although they might look intriguing, try to suppress the urge to pop your pimples. Picking on pimples and popping them might spread the infection into deeper skin layers. Instead, apply your acne treatment or pimple sicker and leave it alone.
