Apply your SPF 365.
If we were ought to choose one skincare product that we cannot live without, we would definitely choose sunscreens. Sunscreens protect your skin from sun damage that can not only tan your skin and cause sunburn but also cause wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, skin dehydration, and speed up the appearance of aging signs!
Make sure to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your face from both UVA & UVB rays. Apply your sunscreen all year long, summer and winter, indoors and outdoors, and reapply it every two to three hours.
Less is more.
There is a difference between what you want to use on your face and what your face needs. Ingredients sometimes become trendy. However, this doesn't mean that your face might need it. Spend time to know what your skin loves and what it actually needs instead of overwhelming it with tons of products.
Be wise about what actives you apply to your skin.
This goes hand in hand with the above tip. Layering actives can be a double-ended weapon if not chosen wisely. Some actives need a specific pH to do their job. Let's take Niacinamide as an example. It works best in a slightly alkaline pH, that's why you should couple it with neutral/alkaline components. If you were to couple it with an acidic component, it can turn into niacin which can irritate facial skin.
Don't pop those pimples.
Although they might look intriguing, try to suppress the urge to pop your pimples. Picking on pimples and popping them might spread the infection into deeper skin layers. Instead, apply your acne treatment or pimple sicker and leave it alone.
Organize your routine and know its order.
Knowing how to layer your skincare products is a game-changer! Using a facial cleanser, face cream, and eye cream is a must!
